Description

This café was once the local co-op in the town known for being the birthplace of the industrial revolution and site of the world’s first iron bridge.  Look out onto what used to be a ‘squalid’ town street but now has great views of the river in this world heritage site.

A scone, jam & cream for £3.20. Good home-made cakes and a wide selection of dishes for breakfast and lunch.  Gluten-free menu too. Food locally-sourced, from nearby Broseley.

Opening Hours

Opening hours vary according to level of trade – open every day except Xmas Day

Usually  9.00am – 5.00pm (summer) or 9.30am – 4.30pm (winter)

Very popular at lunchtime with local workers as well as passing day-trippers, walkers and cyclists.

Getting there

Ironbridge is 7 miles south west of Telford off the A442 Kidderminster road. Lots of local buses from Telford (also nearest rail hub); and Monday-Saturday, Ironbridge is also served by buses running from Telford through to Shrewsbury.
