Great to see old railway station buildings like this being used for a good purpose, and what better purpose than a family-run tea room/coffee shop. Good to see Augher back on track…
The review of this coffee shop/tea room will appear in our book on tea and coffee in the UK’s cathedral towns and cities (this was the nearest place we found to Clogher Cathedral). The ebook is now available, with a shorter print version out this autumn. Here’s the link to all our books…

Owner Nick has spent years in hotel catering so his expertise is mainly in dishing up good tasty lunch meals. But for cake-lovers like us, he does his own scones every day (plain, fruit and white chocolate) and he has a local lady doing the tray bakes and apple pie. Makes a nice spread. Coffee is from Matthew Algie and tea is Punjana (from the Belfast-based Thompson’s). At £1 a pot, you cannot go wrong on the tea. Coffee was nice, but we’d recommend a pot of tea and a scone for really good value, here.

The old railway station is right on Augher’s main street so you can’t miss it. But getting to Augher? It’s a couple of miles towards Belfast from Clogher, and about 45 minutes in the bus from Enniskillen heading towards Belfast. The 261 bus stops right in front of the café.
