Bean Loved – Skipton, North Yorkshire

Not bad to have one of the UK’s top ten baristas in this small Yorkshire Dales market town. This father/son partnership is taking coffee in Skipton to a new level.

The review of this coffee shop in Skipton appears in our new book on tea and coffee in North Yorkshire. It’s out now, and you can get hold of a copy here…

Great cup of coffee. We went for the house blend which changes seasonally, but is supplied by Yorkshire-based Grumpy Mule. There’s also a guest espresso, to give regulars in Skipton a taste of something a bit different sometimes. The mahogany red Marzocco machine sits on the bar facing you as you walk into the place – they always do a good job. If it’s tea you’re after, they have several loose-leaf blends put together by the excellent Suki Teas. And the cakes are hand-made, supplied from a Yorkshire company – we went for a coconut slice, but the carrot cake is said to be a customer favourite.
