Description
Our favourite spot for tea in Settle, this tea room is tucked away out of sight from the main square,l so let our review guide you there. Lovely decor, great home-baked cakes and a decent brew for a Yorkshire Dales tea break.
The review of this tea room in Settle appears in our new book on coffee and tea in North Yorkshire. It’s out now and you can get hold of a copy here…

They use Birchalls Tea, which makes a good brew, even with tea bags. The cakes are excellent here, all home-baked, and there’s a good gluten-free selection.

Getting there
Settle is on the A65 about 10 miles north west of Skipton. Easy to get to by train, Settle is of course at the southern end of the Settle-Carlisle Railway, with direct trains also to Leeds in the other direction. Once in town from the Market Place, head down Kirkgate and the café is tucked away in a little courtyard a few yards down the road to the right.
