Lovely conversion of old butcher’s shop with white tiling and stained glass windows into this modern-day coffee shop where they roast their own and have a single origin of the week. Great cakes, too.
The review of this coffee shop in Croydon, NSW, is designed to fit in with our current tour of New South Wales outdoor swimming pools. There’s no book planned for now but a new website http://oceanpoolsnsw.net.au. So for now take a look at our earlier books…
Visit our books page to see all our books in more detail. You will find a description of each book, Fancy a Cuppa?, Fancy a Cuppa, USA?, Fancy a Cuppa by the Cathedral?, Fancy a Cuppa North Yorkshire?, and then links to buy.
This is a great spot for a post-swim coffee after you’ve been at Ashfield Leisure Centre.
They roast the beans on-site and offer a choice of the house blend or the single origin of the week. I tried both and was equally impressed with the smoothness and quality of both my coffees. If you prefer decaf, they’ll do it that way too.
I also couldn’t resist the delicious passion fruit and pear muffins, which looked fresh out of the oven. Generous enough size to keep me going well past lunchtime, too!
Lovely spot with nice places to sit inside (admiring the decor) or outside on the terrace.

This coffee shop is right by Croydon station (NSW, not Victoria nor London!). If you’re coming here like me after a swim at Ashfield Aquatic Centre, then you need to walk away from Ashfield towards Croydon. Stick as close to the railkway line as you can and you won’t go far wrong..
