Main Beach Kiosk – coffee shop in Yamba

Having a cuppa and a bowl of fresh fruit salad watching the waves roll in. Wonderfully uplifting experience for tea or coffee in Yamba, in northern NSW.

The review of this coffee shop in Yamba is designed to fit in with our tour of New South Wales outdoor swimming pools and this coffee shop was great for a post swim coffee after a dip in Yamba ocean pool. There’s no book planned for now but a new website So for now take a look at our earlier books…

Crossing Paths, Crossing Borders

This 2016 publication recounts our journey from Yorkshire to Australia via 25 countries. It includes an annex with our 100 top tips for coffee or tea on the road, including this venue.

Read the full description of this book on the books page and if you like what you see you can buy it from there too..

I’m usually a bit wary of beach kiosks in terms of the quality of the cuppa, but the one at Yamba main beach is really fantastic. For a start, it’s the great views, looking over the beach and the ocean, with the ocean baths still within sight. And it’s so nice to people-watch (hundreds of nippers out for training the morning we pitched up).

Grab a fresh fruit salad, have a dip in the ocean baths, and then sample the quality coffee or loose leaf tea (and how many beach kiosks do a fresh pot of tea that good??).

We enjoyed this place so much we went back for a second visit before we left town.
